Eagan’s July 4th Funfest Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Can we reserve a spot before the parade along Yankee Doodle Road and Central Parkway?

Yes – however, items cannot obstruct a public right-of-way with chairs or other items (caution tape included) and any items left overnight are left at the owner’s risk.

What times are Funfest?

July 3 (Eagan Festival Grounds) 4pm-10:30pm

July 4 (Eagan Festival Grounds) 11:30am-10:30pm. Carnival closes at 8pm

What time do the fireworks begin?

Funfest fireworks taking place on July 4th at Eagan’s Central Park will both begin at dusk (approximately 10 pm).

Are the concerts free?

Yes – all concerts taking place this year during Funfest are free of charge at both locations. Seating is first come, first serve.

Is parking free?

Yes, parking is free at the Eagan festival grounds.

Avoid parking headaches and ride the bus.

Can I bring my dog?

We ask that you not bring dogs to Funfest. There are a lot of people, noises, and of course heat.

Can we bring in lawn chairs?

You can bring lawn chairs to enjoy the music and watch the fireworks on July 4th.

Can I bring my own cooler to Funfest?

We ask that you refrain from bringing a cooler to Funfest and help support our vendors.

Will there be food trucks?

Absolutely! Food trucks are a staple and will be available!

Are credit cards accepted?

Yes- this year credit cards will be accepted at both beer tents. ATMs will also still be available. Food vendors are on a case-by-case basis.

Can we buy carnival tickets in advance, and are there unlimited ride ticket options?

All carnival ticket purchasing options may be found by clicking here. Carnival pre-sale are only able to be purchased online using that link. Presale ends July 3rd at 3pm

Why purchase carnival tickets in advance?

Discount advanced sale tickets offer an advantage over day of event tickets because 1 ticket = 1 ride. Day of tickets are $1 each but some rides require up to 5 of them per ride.

Will the carnival have a preview day again?

As of now, the city of Eagan (not the Funfest board) is not interested in this option.
