Eagan’s July 4th Funfest Honorees

Tim White

Tim (Ralph) White was one of the founding members of our board of directors. He started out as a co-vendor coordinator. He then morphed into our logistics coordinator, ordering tents, and other equipment. He was an integral part of site layout and was the only official first responder Funfest had for many years. He was honored for his 10 years of service with Funfest at our annual banquet. Tim unexpectedly passed away on August 16th, 2017, he was just 56 years old.

Raleigh Seelig

Roland “Raleigh” Seelig was not only one of our founding board members but was our first board president. He would oversee the entire Funfest board and worked hand in hand with the city of Eagan. He was on the Eagan Lion’s which ran the 4th of July festival in Eagan before it became “Funfest”.  Raleigh was onsite for both days of the event and you could see him greeting everyone coming to the festival. Because of health reasons, Raleigh retired from the board after 7 years of service. Raleigh passed away on February 24, 2018, at the age of 67.
